We love our Umi box. Our dearest colleague Gary Robbins of Container Corps designed the origami carton to express our sense of playfulness and quality. When he showed us his design, we couldn't believe how completely he nailed it.
We intentionally made it recyclable to reduce waste with our packaging, but let's be honest: We don't want anyone to get rid of it! We dreamed, from the beginning, that people would reuse the box to send gifts to friends, to make masks or paper dolls or seed flats, to _______________.
We want you to fill in that blank this holiday season. Save your Umi box! Repurpose it in a creative and/or gifty way. Show us what you created on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #YouMeBox and @umiorganic by January 1, 2017.
Prizes: Our favorite entry will win a handmade ceramic bowl made by our dear friend Dina No and a package of Umi noodles. Runner up will win a $15 gift certificate to the amazing Portland kid's store Hello! Good Morning! and a package of Umi noodles. Each of our next 3 runners up will receive a pack of Umi noodles.
NOTICE: THIS CONTEST IS COMPLETED! THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED. You can view the winning entries on instagram here.
Hamster home? Lingerie box? How imaginative can you get!? We are so excited to see what you come up with!
